Dear USPSA Members,
I am excited to share with you my ideas, goals, and direction for the Michael Voigt Presidential Educational Program. As the Chairwoman of the program committee and Managing Director of USPSA, I am dedicated to promoting education and responsibility in the shooting community through this important initiative.
My vision for the program is to provide financial assistance to young shooters who are seeking to further their education and advance their skills in the shooting sports. I believe that by investing in the future of our members, we can help shape the next generation of shooting sports leaders and promote safe and responsible gun ownership.
To achieve this goal, we have established strict program requirements to ensure that only the most deserving candidates are selected. Applicants must be a USPSA member for at least two consecutive years without interruption, be under the age of 18 and over the age of 16 as of May 1 of the application year, and must not be currently attending a post-secondary educational program. Applicants may only be selected for the program award once.
We also have a rigorous review and selection process, with a selection committee composed of elected Board of Directors members and an Executive Level Employee of USPSA. This committee reviews applications and presents selections to the cumulative Board of Directors for final approval.
Ultimately, our goal is to promote education and responsibility in the shooting community through financial assistance and educational opportunities. I am confident that the Michael Voigt Presidential Educational Program will continue to make a positive impact on the lives of our members, and I am excited to see the program grow and evolve under my leadership.
Thank you for your support of the Michael Voigt Presidential Educational Program, and I look forward to working with you to achieve our shared goals.
Sincerely,
Donna Webb
Chair of the Michael Voigt Presidential Educational Program Committee
Managing Director of USPSA
