USPSA Michael Voigt Presidential Educational Program Information

General Information

Program Requirements
  • Applicants must be a USPSA member for no less than 1 year without membership interruption.
  • Applicants must be under the age of 21 and over the age of 15 as of May 1 of the application year.
  • Applicants may only be selected for Program award once.
  • Applicants shall be U.S. Residents.
  • Program award shall be limited to a maximum of $500 and fund availability.
  • Program awards shall be limited to five (5) per year.

Review and Selection
  • Selection committee will be appointed at the beginning of each calendar year and shall be made up of no less than one Executive Level Employee, 2 elected Board Members and one approved USPSA member.

  • Selection committee shall present selections to the cumulative Board of Directors for final approvals no later than July 15th of the calendar year.

  • Board of Directors shall approve by motion the candidates selected and authorize disbursement of funds via Motion and Vote.

  • Award determination shall be completed no later than July 31st of each year.
Funding and Fund Solicitation
  • United States Practical Shooting Association shall establish a Restricted Fund to regulate incoming/outgoing funds.

  • The Fund activity shall be documented and disclosed as required by GAAP and per IRS regulations for Non-Profit Organizations.

  • USPSA will accept restricted donations to the fund from individuals as well as businesses/corporations in the form of singular donations or through a matching fund agreement.
Oversight
  • USPSA Executive Level employees shall review and document all after disbursement activities.
Application
  • Applications must be received no later than June 31st of each year (no exceptions).

  • Application will be essay based and contain all applicant personal information as to determine eligibility, provide contact, and other program requirements.

  • Application shall outline Deadlines, Criteria, Application Process, and documentation required.
